Nick Vailas
Chairman
Nick Vailas possesses over 35 years of experience in both the public and private sector of healthcare and currently serves as the Chairman of Patriot Health Partners. Nick is considered a healthcare entrepreneur, having developed multiple surgical centers, physical therapy clinics, and urgent care centers. Nick is the founder of Compass Smart Shopper (a healthcare transparency cost tool), the Delphi Group, and Patriot Health Insurance. Nick holds a graduate degree in exercise physiology from the University of Michigan.
Matthew Kaplan 
President
Matthew Kaplan serves as the President of Patriot Health Partners. Matthew has a decade of experience in leading companies and delivering on their mission. Before founding Patriot Health Partners, Matthew served as Director of Data Mining and Analytics for the Delphi Group – the leading bundled payment initiative in the State of New Hampshire. He worked for ClearChoiceMD as a Business Development specialist, and as a consultant for project management firms in New Hampshire. Matthew possesses a secondary education in Earth Sciences and Geology from the University of New Hampshire and a post-secondary education with an M.B.A. in Healthcare Management from Southern New Hampshire University.
Cheryl Nelson
Vice President
Cheryl Nelson has over 30 years of revenue cycle and client account management experience. Always an advocate for clients first and foremost, Cheryl excels at building and maintaining relationships at all organizational levels and has a proven track record of leading successful process improvement initiatives. Before joining Patriot Health Partners, Cheryl served as the Vice President of Client Services at Koha Health building a best-in-class account management team. Previously, she spent over 13 years at athenahealth in client account management and revenue cycle operations.
Outside of the office, Cheryl can be found in the rough or the sand bunker during her weekly round of golf or enjoying the company of her family, including her granddaughter!
